E Monogram

This is the first monogram that I’ve done where I’ve taken the design through a full inking, working out design decisions and such before committing it to glass. The glass one won’t be as tightly detailed as this, but I’ve got all the major decisions made so it should be a relatively simple transfer.  This is also the most themed one that I’ve done, per a special request from a family member.

Stock Photo Portrait #2

I’m much less happy with this one than the first one, but I’m going to stick to this, through good and bad. This is number 2. Maybe if they keep not going well, it’ll just prompt me to do more of them to get better.

Stock photo portrait #1

I’m going to take a stab at doing a portrait a week, using a randomly selected stock photo from a Google search. The goal is to get more practice in drawing, and to practice sketching with Microns, not using any pencil to start. Here is the first one.

11.13.2010 Tire Swing in Progress

Not sure if I’m done with this one yet. Started out as just a circle painted in ink, then reminded me of my tire swing from my childhood. Enjoy, and feel free to comment.

Inspired by the works of Stefan G. Bucher.  His are done completely with ink, whereas mine were started with ink and finished with Photoshop.
